German go-ahead for extensions of roads to Fehmarn


While the approval of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel draws out at Schleswig-Holstein’s planning authorities, another important warrant has been issued in the past week. According to, the plans to extend highway B207 between Puttgarden and Heiligenhafen have been approved.

Minister for Transport Reinhard Meyer announced the news at a meeting at Land Schleswig-Holsteins economic committee last Wednesday. The German state will finance the extension, which serves as an important factor in the roads connecting Germany and Scandinavia.
