18 million DKK from the Norde a foundation will make Lolland-Falster’s natural treasures known among Danes. Few outside Lolland-Falster know about the islands’ natural attractions, but this will change with a new 4-year project.
The project will run from 2016 to 2019 under Lolland Municipality and Guldborgsund Municipality which will be supported with 18 million DKK from the Nordea foundation. “Lolland-Falster should be known as the attractive natural treasure as called for by its surroundings. This can be acheived through visibility and impact,” a press release from one of the project’s partners stated.
The project will make the many natural sites on Lolland-Falster more visible, more available and create easier access for visitors as well as for the residents. Local information centres will be established, as well as a GPS app. The project will mainly focus on Nakskov Fjord, the Maribo lakes and Guldborgsund.
